Thank you and die sharing this about Jim. I didn’t know about him either. You and he have expanded my world.

Wow...whew! What a life he had. I have seen glimpses of his artwork and I didn't know that was his ad work as well. This reminds me of how some people say we don't have that much free will, but the free will we do have is how we react to our circumstances...it looks like Jim mastered that. Inspiring.

It was great to meet you at Emily's shin-dig in PDX. It was the coolest thing to meet you in person just after being inspired to get a paid subscription -- I love your work! (I am sorry you were sick for most of your trip!)

I still can't believe that coincidence. I do think it's a new Substack feature — you just subscribe and at some random moment in the immediate future the writer just SHOWS UP. It was so great to meet you too and *wow* what a gathering that was. Not sure I have even processed it a month later! xo

What an amazing Substack Feature! Ha ha! And yes, I think I’m still processing that amazing get-together!

Thank you for sharing this. I had never heard of Jim, and I plan to go back and watch the interviews. My older brother was obsessed with the Michael Jordan/Mars Blackmon campaign. This poster was his prized possession for awhile (the copy at the bottom is forever imprinted in my brain):
